IMPROVEMENTS
[CS-1] User Interface - Higher Visibility
To improve the accessibility of the CasparCloud application a new higher visibility option is now available under the User Main Profile page. Enabling this feature will darken the text and background colours on the user interface to improve contrast and enhance the usability of the application.
To enable/disable darker mode, go to your profile by clicking the initials/image in the top right corner of the browser, scroll to the bottom of the page and toggle the ‘Appearance’ option.
[CS-2] Optimize to lower resolution screens
To accommodate users with lower resolution screens all pages throughout the CasparCloud application have been optimised so that they automatically resize according to the screen being used. When utilising the browser zoom function the application will automatically adjust screen layouts to accommodate information in a more accessible format without the need to zoom in/out. You will not that menu options also adjust to accommodate increased zoom.
[CS-3] Client icon navigation
Previously when users clicked on the Client icon in the left-hand shortcut bar the system navigated to the last client where the Client Details> Personal Details card had been edited, this was causing some users to accidentally post information to the wrong client record.
To address this issue the Client icon will now navigate users to the Client List as opposed to the last client where core information was edited.
If users wish to navigate to the last page, they should use the back arrow in the browser itself.
[CS-5] Letter Writer/Produce Letter - Spell check function
A spell check function has been added to the Letter Writer pages to allow users to right-click any underlined spelling issue and select a relevant spelling correction from the pop-up menu.
[CS-7, CS-16, CS-54 & CS-76] Budget workflow / Monitoring client expenditure / income against budget (BETA Version)
A new Budget page has been added under Client>Financial Details> Budget to enable customers to create main and sub budgets for clients with the facility to monitor planned and unbatched expenditures against those budgets. This is a beta release of this functionality that will be extended in future releases, please note in this first release it is not possible to allocate an existing plan to a budget however this will be addressed in a future update.
A user guide and ‘How To’ video can be found on the Trojan Knowledge Base here (Please note you will need to register for an account if you do not already have a login)
[CS-14] OPG DigiDeps & Custom Headings for Transaction Types
Two new report headings have been added to the Transaction Type popup to allow for further categorisation of transactions in CasparCloud.
Please note that if you do not use the OPG online portal to submit your OPG reports then no action is required. If you wish to utilise the new OPG Digi-Deps reporting option, you will need to assign the appropriate Digi-Deps Report Headings to each Transaction Type via Admin>Data Maintenance>Transaction Types before producing the DigiDeps version of the Annual Enquiry.
A new Custom Headings Excel option has also been Client> Financial Reports> Annual Enquiry to extract data summarised by the assigned Custom Headings.
[CS-19] Menu icons
All menu options in CasparCloud now feature an association icon both on the menu option and also displayed on the top left-hand corner of the page when loaded.
[DB-4] Delete a main note and all associated sub notes
Previously users with permission were unable to delete a main note without first deleting associated sub notes. The delete function has now been updated to allow deletion of the main note and sub notes in a single action.
[DB-7] Add advanced search to the Dashboard
The Advanced Search bar has been added to the Dashboard as well as the main client details page so users can utilise advanced searching from multiple locations.
[CS-33] Create a new Client from the Client List
An ‘Add New’ button has been added to the Client List to allow users to create a new client without having to navigate to a client record.
[CD-257] Automatic Reconciliation – Unrecognised Accounts
Previously when a bank file was uploaded, and unrecognised accounts were identified in the bank file summary users had to cancel/abandon the import and re-upload the file once the account information had been added or corrected on the associated client(s). Now the system will automatically rematch a bank account as soon as it is added to the client record, refreshing the bank import summary will update the information in preparation for Proceed Match.
[CS-4] Currency fields formatting
Fixed: Previously some fields in both the application and reports were being formatted as text rather than a currency value. All currency fields throughout the application have now been correctly formatted when exporting to MS Excel, this includes standard reports and customised reports from the report generator.
[CS-75] OPG Reports - Table - Generated report end date issue
Fixed: Previously when a user produced an OPG report from the Reports>OPG Reports page the report end date was set to start date + 1 year as opposed to start date + 1 year less 1 day. This has now been corrected and the report now correctly input the end date and all associated transactions.
[CD-73] Client deletion via GDPR – Manager Role
Fixed: Previously the Manager role had permission to delete a client under GDPR, this has now been fully limited to Super Administrators on the system.
[CD-239] Auto Rec - Method on auto rec for AIV, BMAP, CCM, CMS
For customers reconciling using Allied Irish VAM, Barclays BMAP or Lloyds CCM the method displayed on the reconciliation screen was not reflective of the method recorded on the plan, this is due to the bank files from these providers not including a transaction method that can be interpreted by CasparCloud. The reconciliation will now display the method recorded on the financial plan item where known.
[CD-253] User licenses are not checked on login; the maximum number of users can be higher than the license
Fixed: Previously the number of concurrent user licences was not monitored by the application, this has now been corrected so that the number of concurrently logged-in users is checked against the number of users permitted under the software licence. If the number of actively logged-in users exceeds the licence the user trying to log in will receive a message to confirm that ‘The maximum number of concurrent users has been reached, please try again later!’
In the event that a user account becomes locked, or a user forgets to log out a kick-out option has been added to the Admin>User Maintenance page to allow a Super Admin to force a user account to log out. Simply select the user account of a currently logged-in user and click the ‘Kick’ button.
Please note that this change also limits the time your CasparCloud system can remain inactive before automatic logout. In line with other cloud applications, if your account is not actively used for more than 15 minutes it will be automatically logged out, this applies to any duplicate tabs you may have open so ensure duplicate tabs are closed when you have finished using them.
[CD-256] Legal workflows migrated documents replacement issue
Fixed: Where users have produced COP forms in the old version of Caspar as a Word output the system was preventing these documents from being replaced by a scanned PDF version of the document. This has now been fixed and legal Word documents can now be replaced with a PDF version.
[CD-259] Client Personal Details - Check NHS Numbers are unique
Fixed: Previously the same NHS Number could be recorded on multiple client records, this has now been fixed and the NHS Number will be validated to ensure it is unique.
[CD-260] Customer site – Client – Bank Accounts list display issue (Firefox)
Fixed: formatting on the Client>Bank Account
[DB-5] Financial Plan - Don't display the copy popup when a user adds an end date to a completely new plan
Fixed: Previously when a user added a new financial plan and added both a start and end date they were asked if they wished to create a copy of the plan when save was selected. The copy popup will no longer display when a new plan is entered with an end date.
[DB-6] CMS File Layout – Bank File Import
Fixed: Previously the Bank File Import for CMS customers only accepted files where the header and footer were removed. import only accepts files if the header and footer are removed from the file before upload. The import will be amended to accommodate files with or without headers and footers in a future release. After the first test, the file was not processed in the same way as the original CMS – reported on Asana awaiting a fix and not sure if this has been deployed.
[DB-9] Memorandum - unable to delete memorandum detail where no options are present, and memorandum has not been used
Fixed: Previously an administrator could not delete a memorandum detail type if it had no associated options and it was not utilised on a client. This has now been fixed and delete is permitted.
[DB-10] Permission Promotion - tree colouration does not revert when the promotion expires
Fixed: Previously when a user’s promotion period had expired the permission tree colouration did not revert to the original permission colours. This has now been corrected. Please note that the original issue only affected the front end and the actual permissions on the database were correct following demotion.
[DB-12] User Option – Enquiry display, default to show reconciled
Fixed: the option to default the Account Enquiry to have both the unreconciled and reconciled check boxes enabled now works correctly (Admin>My Profile> User Options).
[DB-14] Funeral Time displayed with incorrect value on Funeral Details page
Fixed: Previously the Funeral Details page was applying the local Daylight Savings rule to the time field when it was displayed. i.e., if the current date is in January the correct time was shown. If the current date was in July (summertime) the date is increased by 1 hour. This issue has now been corrected.
[DB-16] Amend Metro bank file import to match the new file format
[DB-17] Report generator Client Financial Plan tree does not include comments and bank references
Fixed: previously a number of fields from the client financial plan were not available for selection in the report generator when reporting on the Client Financial Plan type. This has now been corrected and all fields associated with a financial plan can be selected and included in a report and filtered as appropriate.
[DB-21] Reconciliation - comparative matching issue in auto rec
Fixed: Previously in scenarios where a plan or unbatched posting did not contain a Bank Reference i.e., the field was null, the reconciliation was ignoring the comparative match and just matching the transaction on account number, date and value. This has now been corrected so that the comparative match is applied when a reference is empty. Please note that due to the way the system deals with DWP matching if a benefit transaction bank reference is left empty the system will not match at all leaving the bank item and expected items in red. In this scenario, users will be required to manually match the red transaction to the expected benefit. To avoid this, it is best to ensure that all benefits have the correct DWP bank reference entered.
[DB-1] Admin Security Update
